Greetings from Panama!
My name is Casey Halloran and I am one of the three proud
founders of New World Real Estate. My journey to Panama
began in over 5 years ago, when I visited for the first
time and was awestruck. I have been living in
Costa Rica since 1998, where I co-founded
Costa Rican
Vacations. I have traveled Latin America extensively,
but was awed
by the potential tourism and investment I saw upon setting foot
in Panama. After returning from several
subsequent trips here, I convinced my business partner in
Costa Rica and my sales team that we needed to expand our travel
offering to Panama.
One of my oldest friends and business
contacts in Costa Rica is Jim Procter. When Jim heard I
was considering opening an office in Panama, he immediately
wanted to be a part. A Texan in every sense, Jim captained
a boat to Costa Rica from Seattle more than 30 years ago,
bought a large farm, and never left. Among other things,
Jim built and ran a boutique hotel at the beach in Costa Rica
for nearly two decades. He sailed through the canal 30 years ago and often spoke of the
beauty of Panama's Pacific Coast. After a more recent visit, he was eager
to do business and live in Panama. I couldn't turn down
his incredible knowledge or excitement. A partnership was
formed.
Along with my business partner in Costa Rica, Tony Silva, Jim
and I opened
Panama
Luxury Vacations in 2003. We enjoyed immediate success,
and demand for vacations to Panama grows by the day.
However, there was something we did NOT predict. An
astounding number of our
vacation clients purchased Panama real estate during
their trip. They would often ask us for investment advice.
To better serve them, we decided to begin our own
real estate agency. The business plan for New World Real
Estate took shape.
We started our new venture by making
Jianella Torres our
third partner in New World Real Estate. Jianella is an extremely knowledgeable,
bilingual Panamanian. She was also a star employee at Panama Luxury
Vacations. We are thrilled to have her talent and local
expertise on our team. There are few Panamanian facts, or
in fact, few Panamanians that Jianella does not know!
Our staff is a mix of U.S.,
Canadian and Panamanian citizens. We all share a love of
this incredible country and are here to make sure that if you
purchase real estate in Panama, you make a thoughtful, informed decision.

The capital of Panama and heart of the construction
boom, this is our home office.
2. Santa Clara
Beach -- The country's first beach resort area
1.5 hours from the
city and nearby such popular resorts as the Decameron.
3. Boquete, Chiriqui
-- Panama's cool climate mountain province popular
with expats and retirees, Boquete is undergoing its
own boom.
4. Pedasi, Azuero
Peninsula -- We believe this area is "the
Guanacaste" of Panama. Guanacaste is the
popular tourism province of Costa Rica. |
