This long
stretch of roadway leads all the way up from Panama into Central
America and through the USA. The portion that exists in Panama
is quite well-kept, especially compared to its counterpart in
Costa Rica and upwards. The oftentimes-four lane highway affords
great views of mountains and the ocean (at times) in addition to
various small villages where cold beer and small cafes are the
perfect rest stop. Gas stations are sporadically places
throughout the Inter-American highway as are tourism
destinations and small airports. 65 miles per hour is an average
speed yet policemen frequent the roadways.
