Ocú is one of the districts
that make up the province of Herrera, located in the republic of
Panama. The district of Ocú is most probably the one with the
deepest roots to its Panamanian heritage out of all the cities
in the republic of Panama, and they wear it like a badge of
courage. They boast about their inherently Panamanian traditions
and customs, celebrating them every chance they get, be it in
Carnivals, the International Mejorana fair or “Feria
Internacional de la Mejorana,” and more.
