Javier Arias
MBA – Financial Counsel (Senior Partner)
Strategic consultant and senior advisor to Panamanian
presidential candidate Ricardo Martinelli, one of the most
powerful and wealthiest men in Panama and favorite for the 2009
elections. Executive Director, CEDIS (Representing the World
Bank Business Council). He redesigned their competitive strategy
and reengineered their operations. Designed the “Responsible
Competitiveness Indicators and Questionnaire” for the
organization in order to measure compliance with the 10
principles of competitiveness by the UN.
External Consultant, UNDP Panama. Analysis of US Free Trade
Agreement with Panama regarding negotiation points balancing
commerce and the environment.
External Consultant, CARE Intl., El Salvador (CES). Developed
social mobilization, fundraising and fund generation strategies
for the whole region. He constructed a CRM and PRM strategy with
McCann Erickson and tied it to a complete fundraising plan that
ranged from market investigation to customized techniques to
respond to client needs.
External Consultant, “Darien Program” (Most succesful
Sustainable Development Proyect in the World). Measured the
financial, economic and social sustainability of hydroelectric
proyect in San Jose Cañazas.

of the “Alliance for Global Sustainability” where he is
sponsored by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is
also a founding member of “Fundacion Libertad” a pro-free market
think tank made up of the best economists and professionals in
the country.

Consulting Group. Directed Legal and Institutional affairs, and
became the head of Corporate Affairs for this technological and
telecommunications consulting firm from 2001 to 2003.

Barranquilla, Colombia. Mr. Cruz was the Administrative Manager
of the Panama operations from 2000 to 2001.
